Accent on Taupo Motel
Situated on Lake Terrace in Two Mile Bay, this recently refurbished motel has spacious rooms with super king size beds and kitchenettes. Rooms can accommodate an extra person on a single roll-away at an extra cost of $15 and a portacot and highchair are available on request. There is a trampoline for the children to play on and a four acre reserve backs onto the motel with swimming beaches, walks and restaurants nearby. Enjoy lake views from the sunny decks, cook on the BBQ or relax in their large private spa room. Accommodation ranges from a cottage which sleeps one to four to studios for one to two persons. The motel has two pet friendly rooms which can accommodate your pet on its own bedding at a cost of $10 a night. |

Caboose Lodge
The Caboose Lodge is one of New Zealand’s most unique venues, being a large solid log structure themed around the Colonial Train era. The Caboose Lodge has 50 rooms comprising of train compartments and first class sleepers. The Premium Twin/Family Suite is ideal for families with a queen bed and double bed or double bed and two singles. The suite has a fridge, mini bar, ironing equipment and tea and coffee making facilities. Highchairs and cots are available. |
Catelli’s of Taupo
Two minutes stroll to the lake edge and a five minute walk to the town centre, this motel offers a peaceful stay and is ideal for a family holiday. Their spacious fully contained ground floor units sleep one to four guests and havean in-room spa bath or pool, SKY TV and fully equipped kitchenette in all suites. The family suite has a separate queen bedroom and two single beds in the large lounge and a cot and high chair are available on request. The two bedroomed suite has two separate bedrooms and a double sofa bed in the living room, plus a private courtyard. Catelli’s also has a children’s playground, garden area and BBQ facilities. |
Dunrovin Motel
One of Taupo’s original motels, Dunrovin is set away from the main highway and has a peaceful garden and ample off-road parking but is only 600 metres from the lake and 700 metres from the two centre. There are three two-bedroomed family units which sleep up to five people plus one bedroom and studio units sleeping one to three people. A swing, trampoline and playhouse will keep the children entertained. |
