As you can see from the photo, we're a stone's throw from the beach, and this is Gisborne's best family swimming beach, patrolled by surf lifesavers during holiday periods. We're also just a few minutes' stroll to the city centre, river, parks and bustling, buzzing wharf cafes. Right next door to the park there's a shop/cafe, well-stocked with coffee, ice cream, lunch food, as well as fresh fish and other dinner supplies.
