Facts - Hanmer Springs is an alpine township famous for its natural, thermal pools, and only 90 minutes drive from Christchurch. The region is a popular family getaway – you’ll find heaps of fun activities, with the icing on the cake being a visit to the Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools and Spa. There are hot natural pools to relax in, a full size swimming pool or the Family Activity Area, with waterfalls and animal slides. But Hanmer isn’t just about the hot pools….it’s a laid-back village tucked away amongst forests, rivers and mountains. There’s plenty of accommodation, from campsites and holiday parks, to motels, hotels or luxury cottages. Activities include adventure golf, jetboating, horseriding, bungy jump, family biking, quad bike hire (including kiddie quads), paintball, farm visits or forest walks and picnics.

Under 10 mins walk to village centre, but spacious and surrounded by lawns and trees, with the sound of birds, not traffic! Accommodation ranges from large 1 to 3 bedroom family units with separate lounge to stand-alone, cosy wooden chalets. We can sleep up to 8 people in our family units, and up to 4 in our chalets. Facilities include trampoline and children's play area, bbq, bike storage, complimentary morning paper, SKY tv, kids' movies and cot/high chair available. An easy stroll to restaurants, thermal pools and forest walks.... more
