We offer a selection of Kiwi hideaways to choose from, all just minutes from Punakaiki, set in rainforest and just a quick stroll to the beach. Our Treehouse Rata family apartment is elevated in the canopy of the surrounding forest and sleeps up to 7, with large in/outdoor spaces and 3 bedrooms (1 is a gorgeous upstairs sunroom with a fold out bed and skylight to stargaze!) Fully equipped kitchen, and we can even supply a good range of delicious heat-and-eat meals. |
Ferry Man's Cottage
Ferry Man's Cottage is located on its own 12 acre section next to a lake and surrounded by native birds (listen out for the call of the kiwi at night!) It's an ideal family holiday spot close to Punakaiki and West Coast activities. The solid timber cottage has 2 spacious bedrooms and is finished to a very high standard with fully-equipped kitchen, lounge with TV, DVD, CD player, magazines and games, decks and outdoor furniture and panoramic mountain and ocean views. YHA Greymouth Kainga-ra
On the side of a hill and facing west overlooking the Tasman Sea, YHA Greymouth hostel boasts fantastic views - on clear days, you can sometimes catch a glimpse of Mount Cook or the Hector dolphins from the river mouth! Short bush walks are available close to the hostel. Accommodation includes one room with four beds plus ensuite, and four rooms with four beds. We also have double rooms right next to rooms with three or four beds so a family can stay close together, or rooms with a double plus a single bed. Facilities include a TV room with DVD and kids' movies, games, colouring books, extensive book and video library, small shop where a basic breakfast/snack/lunch/supper can be purchased, shared kitchen and bathroom. Internet access with Wifi and skype available. For the music lovers we also have guitar or piano for your enjoyment. Top Ten Holiday Park - Franz Josef
Powered sites and cabins to self contained units and motel rooms. The 2 and 3 bedroom motel rooms sleep up to 7 and have their own kitchen plus shower/toilet. Kitchen cabins sleep 2 – 5 and standard cabins sleep 2 – 6 (shared facilities). We also have a lodge, ideal for large groups or several families, sleeping up to 30. Facilities include quality, heated bathrooms and toilets, hot spas, bbq, laundry, children’s playground and mini shop. There is a short, illuminated walk from us to the Franz Josef township or we have a courtesy shuttle. |
